The first issue of Silent Worker after the name was taken over by the National Association of the Deaf after a 22-year hiatus (originally published at the New Jersey School for the Deaf in Trenton, NJ, which for a time was also the publication housing the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf's The Frat prior to that publication's becoming independent in 1912) and became the organization's official means of providing regular updates to members around the country.
